ABC has unveiled a slate of dramas for next season.

The network has ordered pilots for eight series in order to capitalize on the success of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”

“It’s been frustrating not to be able to launch a drama after ‘The Bachelor,’ ” ABC Entertainment president Susan Lyne told The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC also ordered a script for a Roman-era piece about Julius Caesar’s exiled nephew, Augustus.
