DVR for radio in works
Say goodbye to missing the last few minutes of your favorite NPR program.
The newly launched Digital Audio Recorder Web site — dar.fm — is being likened to a DVR for the radio, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Currently in beta trials, the site lets users schedule and store recordings of local and national radio programs — either talk radio or music — for playback at a later time or date.
The site works for PC and Mac, but can also be accessed through free smartphone apps (including the iPhone and Android), stand-alone Internet radio players and the Roku streaming video player.
