NORAH Jones, New York’s own bluesy jazz chanteuse, is poised to conquer Billboard’s Top Album chart this week.
Her sophomore effort, “Feels Like Home,” is on track to sell more than 800,000 copies, according to Variety, while Hits magazine estimates sales for the Valentine’s Day-friendly record could reach as high as 1 million units.
The album topped the U.K. charts on Monday, selling 235,000 copies in less than a week.
Eminem‘s “The Eminem Show” holds the debut record here, selling 1.3 million copies its first 10 days out.
“Sunrise,” the first single from “Feel Like Home,” set a record for downloads on Apple’s iTunes in January.
Jones’ debut disc, “Come Away With Me,” which won five Grammys, has sold 8 million copies in the U.S.
