Fox is cutting a pattern to remake the British fashion comedy, “Absolutely Fabulous.”

The show followed the misadventures of a pair of over-the-hill, drug-addled fashionistas, Edina and Patsy, who were desperate to stay hip and youthful.

Much of their insanity was forced upon Edina’s disapproving teenage daughter, Saffy, who tries, unsuccessfully to keep her mom grounded.

The series was a huge hit in the U.K. from 1992 to 1995.

More than a decade ago, Roseanne Barr and Carrie Fischer tried to do a U.S. version of the show for ABC.
