THE Grammys didn’t need Janet Jackson after all.

More than 26 million viewers tuned into the 46th annual awards show Sunday night. That’s about six percent better than last year.

Following a week of will-she-or-won’t-she, Jackson elected not to show up at the awards show after CBS said she would have to make another apology for her Super Bowl boob-tube incident.

Singer Justin Timberlake did make an on-air apology while accepting his second trophy of the night.
