MARIO Lopez agrees with you – he thinks he was a better dancer than Emmitt Smith too.

“I would like to think the criteria was based solely on being the best dancer, and I thought we did enough to accomplish that,” Lopez told The Post yesterday, the morning after losing “Dancing with the Stars” to the NFL great.

“I figure if this was truly a dance competition they would have voted for the better dancer,” he said.

“But I’m not crying over spilled milk. If I was going to lose to someone, it couldn’t have been to a better guy than Emmitt Smith.”

Lopez dismissed rumors that the finale was fixed for Smith because Mario declined to join a live national “Dancing” tour starting later this year.

“He’s not doing the tour, either,” he said of Smith. “I don’t know of any conspiracies.

“I think [Smith’s win] was sort of a ‘Rocky’ element, kind of the underdog thing,” he said.

Lopez, best known as the star of “Saved By the Bell,” said the show has opened up a raft of opportunities for him.

“There’s been talk of everything from Broadway to different TV holding deals,” he said. “It’s very exciting.”
