MIRAMAX Films is playing Scrooge – scheduling the only critics’ screenings for its movie “Imposter” on Christmas Eve.
The sci-fi adventure with Gary Sinise and Madeline Stowe, opening Christmas Day, had originally been scheduled for release in August 2000 and postponed several times.
That’s a sure sign that Miramax – which is releasing the film under its Dimension label – has little confidence in the project.
