Veteran actor Skeet Ulrich will co-star on “Law & Order: LA,” premiering this fall on NBC.
Ulrich, who starred for two seasons on CBS’ apocalyptic drama “Jericho,” will play second-generation cop Rex Winters, an ex-Marine who joined the LAPD in 1992 — shortly before the Rodney King riots shook the city to its core.
Production on “LO:LA” is set to begin later this month in LA; Ulrich’s co-star has yet to be cast.
“LO:LA” marks the “Law & Order” franchise’s first journey out West. The other spinoffs (“SVU,” “Criminal Intent“) both take place in New York.
NBC canceled the original “Law & Order” last spring after 20 seasons.
Ulrich, 40, guest-starred as the disfigured “Compass Killer” last season on three episodes of “CSI: NY.”
