Manhattan artist Sarah Rosado is giving new meaning to the phrase “breakfast of champions.”

“I was just eating cornflakes in the morning and listening to John Lennon and started creating, and I thought, ‘Oh, this would kind of be cool,’ ” says Rosado, 30.

And thus, a new, niche genre of “celebrity cornflake art” was born.

Rosado’s crafted more than 30 portraits of popular musicians, all out of the crushed dry cereal. She’s stuck mostly with the signature cornflakes, though there are some hints of a “Fruity Pebbles” period approaching (see the colorful Pharrell).

Rosado’s previous innovations include working with computer keyboard keys and dirt to create her art.

Photos of her cereal portraits are for sale, since the cereal masterpieces can’t last past the shoot. Check out our favorite masterpieces by Rosado in the gallery above.
