‘SUPER Millionaire” will return in May, ABC announced yesterday.
The revamped version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” hosted again by Regis Philbin, ended its one-week run last night.
“Super Millionaire” is averaging around 14 million viewers a night.
This time around, the show’s grand prize is worth $10 million and it includes two new lifelines: “Three Wise Men” and “Double Dip,” which can be used at the $100,000 level.
ABC and “Millionaire” executive producer Michael Davies had said that, if the show was successful, they would bring it back as “event” programming several times a year.
