THE estate of the creator of “Mister Ed” is suing MGM for nearly $400,000 in unpaid royalties.

MGM released two DVD collections called “The Best of Mister Ed” in 2004, which the estate of Walter Brooks’ widow claims it was never paid.

Brooks, who wrote a number of fanciful books about talking animals, wrote the short story on which the famed TV series was based.

“Mister Ed” ran from 1961-66.
