FORMER MTV exec Christina Norman has been named CEO of Oprah Winfrey’s cable network, OWN.

Norman left MTV last year after 17 years, reportedly because she was unhappy with the network’s management structure.

OWN, set to launch later this year, is a 50-50 co-production between Winfrey and Discovery Networks.
