“AMERICAN Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi says she battled an eating disorder years ago.

“I had kind of a binge disorder where instead of dealing with my emotions, I would stuff them down with food,” she told “Extra.”

“I actually went into a treatment center for it.”

DioGuardi, 38, said she found salvation in music.

“The moment I started doing music… I don’t have those problems anymore,” she said.
