Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Sarah Palin sent “Oprah” numbers through the roof.

Monday’s “Oprah,” which featured the interview, snared a 7.2 overnight rating — up 36 percent from “Oprah’s” Nov. ’08 numbers.

“Oprah” came back down to earth Tuesday with a 4.9 overnight rating — down 32 percent from Monday’s show.

Overnight ratings represent 56 of the country’s 120 TV markets.
