There are seven new floats this year, including “Rocking Giraffe” from 1966 that’s re-joining the parade. “On the Roll Again” features old-fashioned, brightly colored wooden ducks that look like pull toys, while “Elves Raise the Roof” depicts the moment when all the presents have been packaged and are ready to go. During the parade the float will feature ballet, tap, hip-hop and disco dancers.

“Snow Queen” will be drawn by two white horses, ferrying Joan Rivers as the snow queen in a costume designed by Kim Montgomery. Her daughter and grandson will be on the horses.
