They said it couldn’t – or maybe it shouldn’t – be done, but the Simpsons movie is a terrific walk on the vile side. Homer triggers an environmental disaster that shuts the town down after he dumps pig poop in the lake. Voiced by Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright and Hank Azaria.

STRANGERS ON A TRAIN (1951)

Thursday, 2 a.m., Ch. 13

Don’t ever get involved in the plots of demented playboys while riding public transportation! That’s the moral of this tight, brilliant Alfred Hitchcock thriller about a professional tennis player (the gorgeous Farley Granger) who meets the aforementioned demented playboy (Robert Walker) aboard a train. The Romeo proposes that it would be great for them to exchange murders. He won’t be dissuaded.
