RYAN Seacrest blames his “feud” with Paula Abdul on a misunderstanding of his own making.

“Paula and I are great. We are fine,” Seacrest tells Ellen DeGeneres on today’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” (10 a.m./Ch. 4).

“It’s not that big of a deal. It got blown out of proportion,” says Seacrest, asked by DeGeneres to comment on reports that he and Abdul aren’t speaking.

“One day I went to talk to [Paula] before the show – and I talk to Randy [Jackson] and Simon [Cowell] sometimes, too – and I couldn’t get in to see her,” Seacrest says.

“There were a lot of people outside, and I thought she was blowing me off, and I cleared it up on the radio and so now we’re fine.”
