ANIMAL guru Jeff Corwin spent close to a year traveling the world to film – frogs.

His documentary, “The Vanishing Frog” airs Thursday at 8 p.m. on Animal Planet and aims to shed light on an entire classification of animals that could become extinct in our lifetime.

“They’re the canaries in the coal mine,” Corwin says of frogs, which despite surviving for millions of years are far more fragile than anyone imagined. “They’re dying off quickly.”

He cites pollution, climate change, the destruction of their habitats and food sources as why the creatures may gone soon.
