Morning glory

WPLJ’s “Scott & Todd” (Scott Shannon, Todd Pettengill) continue an annual tradition next Thursday, airing their final show of the year from Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla (6-10 a.m.). Rob Thomas, Daryl Hall, Cyndi Lauper and Holiday Express are scheduled to perform to help raise money for Blythedale – the state’s only hospital devoted to caring for children with a wide range of medical problems.

“Scott & Todd” raised over $340,000 last year.

Elsewhere in the morning, this time on the TV side, the Saturday edition of “Good Morning America” notched nearly 3 million viewers last week, up 15 percent over last year. It still trails the weekend “Today” show. ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” also continues to make some noise -beating “Face the Nation” in total viewers (3 million) and adults 25-54 last week-the fifth time it’s done so.

And “The Early Show” has now had back-to-back weeks of 3 million viewers, including 3.1 million last week (largest audience in a year).

Last, but not least:

* NBC News’ free offer on “Crisis in Darfur with Ann Curry” on iTunes has been downloaded over 25,000 times since last week.

* Jennifer Geisser has been named VP, corporate communications, for Hallmark Channel.

* Dr.

Sanjay Gupta will contribute to the “CBS Evening News” but remain at CNN (shades of Christiane Amanpour and Anderson Cooper). Just merge the networks already.

* Congrats to Ch. 5’s Rick Folbaum and wife Kelcey on the arrival of Presley Jane, who joins big sister Dylan.

* A model eating? “America’s Next Top Model” champ Caridee English chowing down at Tao, PS 450 and Blaire Perrone Steakhouse.

* The BBC’s coverage of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict has been considered so biased in Israel the country’s largest satellite provider dropped the British broadcaster this week-in order to carry Arab TV’s new alJazeera English network. BBC World can still be seen on Israeli cable, but just barely.
