Cooks’ tour: “MasterChef” judges Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliott and Joe Bastianich had quite a night on Wednesday. Ramsay was a guest on “The Tonight Show” — cooking pancakes for Jay Leno — while Elliott was preparing dinner for President Obama, who celebrated his 49th birthday at Elliott’s eponymous Chicago restaurant.

Vice President Joe Biden, meanwhile, dined at Bastianich’s Manhattan place, Otto Enoteca Pizzeria (One Fifth Avenue).

Nightline” had a very strong July, averaging 3.4 million viewers and 1.4 million adults 25-54 to top David Letterman’s “Late Show” in both demos — with NBC’s “Tonight Show” finishing first in viewers (4 million) and adults 25-54 (1.7 million).

For the season, “Nightline” is averaging 3.8 million viewers — more than both “Late Show” and “The Tonight Show.”

CBS’ “Big Brother,” meanwhile, continues to perform well, topping Wednesday night in viewers (7 million) and most adult demos (it tied Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” in adults 18-34). The show was up 4 percent in viewers over last week — and is up 9 percent in viewers compared to its Wednesday airings last summer.

“Big Brother” is hosted by Julie Chen; her new CBS daytime show, “The Talk,” launches in October (2 p.m./ Ch. 2), and now has an executive producer — Brad Bessey, formerly of “Entertainment Tonight.” Chen will host the show with Sara Gilbert and a cast of thousands (including the ubiquitous Sharon Osbourne).

British stage star Elaine Paige (“Sunset Boulevard,” “Evita” and many more) is here to cut a new Phil Ramone– produced album for Warner Bros. But she’s still taping her BBC2 radio show, “Elaine Paige on Sunday” — and has already recorded interviews with Thomas Schumacher (head of Disney Theatricals), “The Lion King” stars Tshidi Manye and Alton Fitzgerald White and “Mary Poppins” star Laura Michelle Kelly.

Speaking of radio (and TV), Peter Frampton fans can come out of hiding, since there seems to be a full-on Frampton revival hitting the airwaves. I’m not sure if that’s because he’s got a new album, “Thank You Mr. Churchill,” but Frampton will be all over the radio and TV the next few weeks.

First up is Frampton’s live concert Monday night from the Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ), which airs at 7:30 p.m. on Sirius XM’s “Deep Tracks” (Sirius/Ch. 16, XM/Ch. 40).

Then, on Aug. 14 at 8 p.m., Ch. 21 will air a never-before- seen 1977 concert featuring Frampton and Lynyrd Skynyrd, culled from the online music archive Wolfgang’s Vault. The concert, part of Bill Graham’s “Day on the Green” summer festivals at the Oakland Coliseum, was taped July 2, 1977 — a few months before the October ’77 plane crash that claimed the lives of Skynyrd band members Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and Cassie Gaines.

There’s a nice two-minute clip showing snippets of both acts at wliw.org/ wolfgangsvault.com.
