Harry Shearer, the prolific voice actor for some of the most memorable animated characters on “The Simpsons” for 26 seasons, put out a statement Wednesday night implying he’s off the show.

Shearer, the comedian known as the voices of Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns and Mr. Smithers, posted a tweet that quoted a lawyer for the show’s executive producer saying Harry will “not be part” of it anymore.

“From [Exec Producer] James L. Brooks’ lawyer: show will go on, Harry will not be part of it, wish him the best,” Shearer tweeted.
