‘The View” is being scolded by gay groups for airing “inaccurate information” about HIV.

The groups, including GLAAD, took out a full-page ad in yesterday’s Variety, criticizing “The View” for “blaming” increased HIV rates among African-American women on African-American gay and bisexual men.”

The ad took issue with some on-air banter during a June 22 show between co-host Sherri Shepherd and comic D.L. Hughley.

“The Centers for Disease Control has publicly disproven this myth,” the ad said.
