Get used to seeing more of Tim Allen.

The former “Home Improvement” star’s new ABC sitcom, “Last Man Standing,” has been picked up for the rest of this season.

Allen’s return to series TV started strongly. “Last Man” snared 13 million viewers in its debut, but has fallen off a bit of late.

It’s now settled into a weekly average of about 9 million viewers — good enough to warrant further consideration in today’s broadcast TV viewing universe, which has been heavily encroached upon by cable.

The show is also performing well among young men — its core audience.

In the show, Allen plays the harried father of three daughters. Nancy Travis co-stars as his wife.

“Last Man Standing” wasn’t the only show given a full season by ABC, which also announced that “Once Upon a Time” — which reenacts fairy tales — will be around at least until May. It bowed to nearly 13 million viewers last month and has retained most of that audience.

ABC also ordered a full season of “Happy Endings” (22 episodes) and ordered five more episodes of its freshman Sunday-night series, “Pan Am,” which has struggled a bit to find an audience in its dramatization of life behind the scenes of the fabled airline circa 1963.

ABC has already renewed “Revenge,” starring Emily Van Camp, and “Subugatory” for a full season.
