LAKERS head coach Phil Jackson has already proven himself on the basketball court – but can he make the jump to TV?

Jackson has inked a deal with the William Morris Agency and Original Entertainment to develop a weekly coaching show that would air locally in L.A. – and then jump into national syndication, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sources say the show would be built around a “talk-to-the-coach” format and that Jackson’s “people” are already talking with L.A. TV stations, although there’s no projected start date.

He’s nearing the end of his five-year, $30 million deal with the Lakers and is said to be looking beyond his basketball career for other opportunities outside of sports, including TV shows, licensing, sponsorship and publishing.
