WHAT better way to celebrate the release from jail today of rapper Lil’ Kim than a marathon of the TV reality show that followed her to prison last fall.

BET will rebroadcast all six episodes of “Lil’ Kim:

Countdown to Lockdown” back-to-back on Wednesday night starting at 8.

The series followed the singer around during her final weeks of freedom as she rushed to finish a video for a new CD and wrapped up her personal business prior to turning herself into federal authorities.

While the series was the highest-rated BET series debut ever, it was not a huge success outside the channel’s limited audience.

Lil’ Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, was sentenced to a year in prison for perjury in connection with a shooting outside a Manhattan radio station.

She served 10 months of the sentence at a jail in Philadelphia and is due to be released early this morning.
