Brian Frons is out as chief of ABC Daytime.

Frons, who incurred the wrath of soap fans by cancelling “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” will be succeeded by Vicki Dummer, who will oversee a new unit consolidating ABC’s daytime and syndicated programming, according to reports.

Frons, who’d been daytime chief since 2006, will remain with ABC until the end of January.

“The Chew” replaced AMC; “The Revolution” will replace “OLTL” next month.
