Appearing with his “Two and a Half Men” costars for the first time yesterday, Ashton Kutcher said, “You almost think I’ve won the lotto — which I kind of did.”
Kutcher was unveiled during CBS’s upfront event at Carnegie Hall, where he took the stage with “Men” veterans Angus T. Jones and John Cryer during a presentation in front of advertisers.
“In my 13 years in show business, I’ve never received more emails and phone calls from people congratulating me [than] for this job,” Kutcher said.
Moving past Kutcher’s gracious tone, Cryer then took the mike to roast CBS head honcho Leslie Moonves.
“Did you have to get a tall guy? Really? Was that necessary? It’s [now] One and Two Half Men,” Cryer joked.
Moonves was confident that CBS will continue its ratings dominance with the switch from Charlie Sheen to Kutcher.
“At CBS, we don’t rebuild, we reload,” Moonves said.
