Bob Guiney picked Estella, but didn’t propose .FUN-LOVING goofball Bob Guiney chose sultry Estella Gardinier in last night’s finale of “The Bachelor” on ABC.

Guiney didn’t propose to Gardinier, but he did give her a diamond ring as “a sense of promise” of where the couple could be headed.

“I want to make sure of everything,” Guiney said to Gardinier. “It’s not that I’m ‘not there’ yet . . . but this [ring] represents to me the promise you see as to where we can go.

“It can only get better.”

“I knew in my heart we were meant for each other,” a weeping Gardinier said.

Gardinier, 28, bested her younger competitor, marketing analyst Kelly Jo Kuharski, 24, in the fifth version of the popular reality series.

As in past versions of the show, last night’s bloated, two-hour finale saved the best for last – wasting the first hour on Bob’s meetings with the finalists’ families and other trivial pursuits (Bob chooses two rings! Bob discusses his feelings for the finalists!).

Kuharski seemed shocked that she wasn’t chosen, crying and muttering “it sucks” when Guiney asked her if she was disappointed.
