The young woman who shook up the 2009 edition of “American Idol” when she sang for the judges in nothing but a string bikini has been charged with DUI and hit and run.

Katrina Darrell, 24, who became known simply as Bikini Girl, was charged formally over the weekend by authorities in California after an accident last month.

She was arrested near midnight on March 30 after running a red light and hitting another vehicle.

Darrell was pulled over a block away by a Pomona, Calif. cop who said she was trying to flee the scene.

No one was reportedly hurt in the accident but a breathalyzer test indicated she had twice the legal alcohol limit in her system when she was stopped, police said.
