‘The Blues Brothers” are returning to action.

Scripts for the TV version of the classic “Saturday Night Live” sketch-turned-movie are in the works, Judy Belushi Pisano — John Belushi’s widow — told undercover. com.au.

She and “SNL” writer Anne Beatts have teamed up with Kieron Lafferty and Wayne Catania — who star in the touring Blues Brother Review — to write a six- to eight-episode TV adaptation of the 1980 movie that will take the iconic bluesmen on a “mission down the Mississippi back to New Orleans.”

In the proposed series, Lafferty and Catania will play Jake and Elwood Blues, roles that Belushi and Dan Aykroyd originated.
