FORMER “Practice” star Dylan McDermott will appear on at least one episode of “Will & Grace” this year.

McDermott who was uncermoniously dumped – along with most of “The Practice” regulars – at the end of last season from his long-running gig on the ABC legal drama plays a gay, potential love interest for Will (Eric McCormack) on the popular NBC comedy.

McDermott was cast in the role at the last minute about three weeks ago and plays a “mama’s boy” who catches Will’s eye when they bump into each other wheeling their injured mothers around Central Park.

Rehearsal and filming for the episode, called “Heart Like a Wheelchair,” began this week.
