Stephen Colbert is expected to resume his TV show tonight — five days after shutting down production without explanation.

The Post reported Friday that the show was halted abruptly due to the illness of the actor’s 91-year-old mother.

But yesterday, a Comedy Central official confirmed that “The Colbert Report” will go back to its usual, four-day-a-week production schedule tonight.

A spokesman for the family would not confirm last week that the shutdown was due to his ailing mother.

But Colbert tweeted over the weekend: “My family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers. We are grateful and touched by your concern.”
