Comedian Sarah Silverman will guest star on the CBS legal drama “The Good Wife,” it was announced Wednesday.
Silverman, 40, will play a “smart, funny owner of a sexually-explicit website, devoted to connecting married people who are looking to have affairs” in her guest appearance.
Her character on the show is then sued by a woman whose husband was murdered for using the adulterous website.
Julianna Margulies will play Silverman’s defense lawyer, though her character’s own husband (portrayed by “Sex and the City” actor Chris Noth) was embroiled in a political scandal as a result of his infidelity.
Comedian and actress Silverman previously starred in her own show on Comedy Central and still performs her stand-up act before live audiences.
