That’s what the owners of the Upper West Side comedy club Stand Up New York hope to accomplish with their new initiative: 12 months of free comedy for all federal workers affected by the ongoing government shutdown.

So even if the fed-up furloughed can’t laugh all the way to the bank, at least they can crack up at the club.

Notoriously underpaid comics should be able to relate to this no-paycheck crowd.
