‘Corner’ death
The Baltimore drug dealer whose life was the basis of the HBO miniseries “The Corner” has died of a suspected drug overdose.
De’Andre McCullough, 35, was found dead by his girlfriend Wednesday night, according to police.
The 1997 nonfiction book “The Corner” by reporter David Simon — on which the HBO series was based — captured how McCullough grew up in a dangerous Baltimore neighborhood, selling drugs on the corner from an early age.
