Country singer LeeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian are engaged, a representative for Rimes confirmed Monday to People.

“Yes, they were engaged over the holidays and are very happy,” the representative said.

Rimes, 28, and Cibrian, 37, met while working together on a movie for the cable network Lifetime. Both were married at the time, and Rimes has said she blames herself for the demise of her marriage after she cheated on her husband of seven years, Dean Sheremet, with Cibrian.

“We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we’re human. We fell in love,” Rimes said in November. Her divorce from Sheremet was finalized in June, and he got engaged in November with congratulations from Rimes.

When Rimes and Cibrian marry, she will become stepmother to his two children, of whom Cibrian shares custody with his ex-wife, model Brandi Glanville.
