When Juliana Park and Ben Lee, both 32, thought of an engagement photo shoot in 2011, the artsy duo from LA wanted something offbeat.

The couple chose a zombie ambush after a few brainstorming sessions, then enlisted the help of photographer friend Amanda Rynda and a pal to play the zombie in the hills of Valencia, Calif.

“We wanted to document our love — but we also wanted to poke fun at the fact that [these types of photos] are awkward,” says Park.

For their engagement shoot in 2010, ex-New Yorkers Pani Razmi, 35, and Ronnie Razmi, 42, flew in LA photographer Ray Soemarsono. “We both love New York City where we fell in love,” says Pani, a financier. The couple’s favorite picture was taken in the Village. “We saw the cab, and we just went for it.”
