There’s blood all over the network Armani suits this week — as the decisions are made about which shows to cancel.
The first big surprise was “CSI: Miami” which was axed yesterday after 10 years on TV.
The show actually had slightly higher ratings than its companion series, “CSI:NY,” which was renewed for another year.
Not much comfort, but in a prepared statement, CBS said that “Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of ‘CSI: Miami’ in syndication . . . for many years to come.”
Big names were not enough to save other struggling shows, either.
Among the other cancellations were the Robert De Niro-produced cop show “NYC 22,” Poppy Montgomery’s attempt at a second hit, “Unforgettable” and Oscar-winner Kathy Bates’ NBC legal series, “Harry’s Law.”
