COMEDY Central has lopped a night off D.L. Hughley’s new show, “Weekends at the D.L.”

“Weekends” will now air only Friday and Saturday nights (11 p.m.).

The Sunday-night edition of the show has been yanked because of low ratings.

“Weekends,” hosted by comedian D.L. Hughley, debuted July 29 and was pre-empted twice on Sundays because of its low viewership.

Comedy Central will air a “variety” of programming in place of “Weekends,” a network spokeswoman said yesterday.

The show’s Friday and Saturday editions are holding their own, ratings-wise. And, according to TiVo, last Friday’s episode (Aug. 19) was the top show TiVo’d that night – an indication that people are paying attention.

The show has also performed well on Friday and Saturday among adults 18-49 and men 18-34, among several key demos.

Hughley’s sitcom, “The Hughleys,” aired from 1998-2002 on ABC.
