David Letterman is stepping out of small-screen retirement — and returning to TV for a six-episode series on Netflix.

Letterman’s latest gig will focus on long-form conversations with guests, as well as in-field segments, Deadline reported Tuesday.

The hour-long episodes will premiere in 2018.

“I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix,” Letterman said in a statement. “Here’s what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.”

Letterman departed his “Late Show” in May 2015, capping a career as the longest-serving late-night host.
