DC GETS ‘REAL’
‘THE Real World” is heading to Washing ton, DC.
MTV announced that the 23rd season of its roommate reality series will be set in the Beltway.
A house near historic Dupont Circle area is currently being renovated to accommodate a 24-hour set, according to published reports.
The show is reportedly set to begin filming later this summer with a 2010 premiere date.
No word on where the eight DC “Real World” cast members will be working, although its likely that there will be a political slant involved — since MTV execs are excited about tapping into the “charged atmosphere” of the capital city.
On “The Real World: Cancun,” which premieres June 24, the cast members work for a spring break planning Web site.
