Looks like former “American
Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi is moving back to New York for good.
DioGuardi, who is currently working on Broadway as Roxie Hart in the revival of “Chicago,” has listed her home in Los Angeles for $10 million.
Not bad, since records show she bought the place in 2004 for $3.5 million.
The five-bedroom house also has 6 1/2 baths, an artist studio, a pool and a hot tub.
DioGuardi, 40, was a successful songwriter and producer before she was hired in 2009, ostensibly to replace judge Paula Abdul on the singing-competition show.
But she was dropped last year after only two seasons and had been working as a judge on the short-lived songwriting competition “Platinum Hit” when she got the chance to appear in the long-running Broadway show.
DioGuardi this week told Entertainment Weekly that she wanted to stay on Broadway — especially if she were offered a part that dealt with “women-centric issues.”
