SAM Donaldson’s deal with MSNBC has fallen through.

The ABC newsman was in talks with MSNBC to host a show there, perhaps at 9 p.m. where he would have competed directly with Fox News Channel’s “Hannity & Colmes” and CNN’s “Larry King Live.“

Donaldson lost his regular Sunday-morning slot on “This Week” when George Stephanopoulos took over last summer. Since then, he’s been hosting a radio show on ABC’s website.

“We are delighted that Sam will be remaining as a full-time member of the ABC News family,” an ABC News spokesman said yesterday.
