FOR the second week in a row, Chris Martin and Coldplay remained kings of pop as the Brits’ latest, “X&Y,” fended off high-profile competition for the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 chart.

“X&Y” sold 323,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan, sending it well over the million-plus mark since debuting.

Foo Fighters‘ double CD “In Your Honor” earned the band its highest Billboard 200 position yet, selling 311,000 copies, enough to take the No. 2 spot its first week out.

Returning from the brink of oblivion, the Backstreet Boys hit No. 3, with “Never Gone” selling 290,000 copies in its debut week. Respectable numbers for most artists, but far, far away from the aging boy band’s last disc, 2000’s “Black and Blue,” which moved 1.6 million copies its first week.

At No. 10, rapper Fat Joe‘s “All or Nothing,” which features Nelly on the hit single “Get It Poppin’,” marked the final debut in the top 10.
