THE GOOD OLD NAUGHTY DAYS

Sex and the city (Paris).

Running time: 67 minutes. Not rated (non-stop sex and nudity). At the Quad Cinema, 13th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues.

ALTHOUGH fun to watch on the big screen, “The Good Old Naughty Days” might best be enjoyed in the solitude of one’s home.

It’s a collection of French silent porn movies, made from 1905 to 1930 and meant to be shown in brothels to sort of warm up the customers.

Every type of sex known to man and dog is represented (this being a family newspaper, I won’t go into detail), explicitly performed in just about every male-female combination you can imagine. And a few you can’t.

It’s the real thing, too. No simulation required.

Why, it’s exhausting just watching the “actors,” mostly hookers and friends trying to pick up an extra franc or two, going though their paces.

The prints have been beautifully restored, with French and English intertitles explaining the action (as if that’s necessary).

If you’re looking for socially redeeming value, go elsewhere.

“The Good Old Naughty Days” is just good old dirty fun.
