Former “Alias” co-producer Crystal Nix-Hines has been nominated to be America’s Permanent Representative to the UN’s Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Nix-Hines, a former State Department employee, currently specializes in entertainment law at the LA firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges.

She also worked on the corporate side for Capitcal Cities-ABC in the early ’90s — and is good friends with President Barack Obama, who’s also a huge “Alias” fan and put through her nomination for the new post.
