Former “Desperate Housewives” star and political activist Eva Longoria is producing an NBC comedy series based on the experiences of relationship therapist Laura Berman. The jokes will arise from the patients who consult with a female sex therapist on a variety of intimate matters. Her personal life with have the usual sitcom trappings: juggling a husband and two young sons. Berman (“In the Bedroom With Dr. Laura Berman”) will be a consulting producer.
