Here’s a chance to talk with Hou Hsiao-hsien in Taiwan without leaving New York.

The acclaimed filmmaker will put in a personal appearance at the IFC Center in the West Village – via a high-speed Internet connection from Asia – after tonight’s 6:45 screening of his “Three Times,” featuring Chang Chen (left) and Shu Qi. Hou’s image will be projected onto the theater’s screen and audience members will be able to quiz him. The theater is on Sixth Avenue at Third Street, in the West Village.
