As far as Mama is concerned, March is going out like a lion. Take a look at some of the must-watch stuff airing this week:

* “Saving Grace” (Monday, 10 p.m., TNT): TNT’s answer to “The Shield” begins its final season, featuring Holly Hunter as a tough, drunk cop who talks to angels. Has it all kinda been done before? Yes, but Hunter is unsurprisingly wonderful, and the supporting cast led by Kenneth Johnson (from … “The Shield”) is good enough to make Mama stick around for this nine-episode farewell tour. Seriously, Mama wouldn’t mind having a angel to tell her what to do. (“Avoid the FDR on the way home!” “Tonight’s ‘American Idol’ is just three minutes of content and 57 of filler!”)

* “Damages” (Monday, 10 p.m., FX): So the producers listened to Mama and made the plot less convoluted, but to the point of obviousness. Seriously, don’t we all know who killed Tom by now? The flash-forwards add no suspense, but Martin Short, as the dastardly Tobin family attorney, is probably going to win an Emmy. Right?

* “Melrose Place” (Tuesday, 9 p.m., CW): Friends, it’s time to wear your sundress over your T-shirt and fire up the Nirvana CD, because the only moment you’ve cared about on this lousy remake is happening this week: Four original cast members are reuniting, presumably to throw someone in the pool. Heather Locklear (Amanda), Thomas Calabro (Michael), Daphne Zuniga (Jo) and Josie Bissett (Jane) are all actually going to snipe at each other.

* “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” (Tuesday, 10 p.m., USA): Another patented “L&O” cast changeover becomes permanent in a two-parter where Jeff Goldblum officially replaces Vincent D’Onofrio as this series’ full-time lead. Also, the women are changing too, for what that’s worth.

Tammy Blanchard Watch: Last year, Zeljko Ivanek was the go-to guest star in practically a different show every week; the new contender is Tammy Blanchard, who in one week appears as a bitchy ex-wife on “Law & Order” as well as the movie “Amish Grace” on LMN.
