“Freakonomics,” a documentary based on the best-selling nonfiction book, will close the Tribeca Film Festival.

The movie is based on the 2005 book by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner. It’s directed by five filmmakers, including Alex Gibney and Morgan Spurlock.

Spurlock directed the Oscar-nominated documentary “Super Size Me.”

Gibney’s film “Taxi to the Dark Side” was the Academy Award for best documentary in 2008. He has three films at the Tribeca festival. He will also screen his “My Trip to Al-Qaeda” and an unfinished version of a documentary on former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

The ninth annual Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 21 to May 2. The festival earlier announced the rest of its lineup.
